Sunday, July 30, is the date for this year’s Meet Your Local Clams party, co-sponsored by Gouldsboro Shore and Schoodic Arts for All. We will be sampling clam recipes and talking about Gouldsboro’s clam fishery at the Prospect Harbor Methodist Church from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Participation is free, but pre-registration is required and limited to 25 registrants. You can register at the Schoodic Arts for All Festival website.

This is an opportunity to hear about how clams are harvested here in Gouldsboro, what the town is doing to ensure the continuation of the fishery, what we have been doing in the Shellfish Resilience Lab, and what the town is doing to continue access to the shore for the harvesters. Enjoy some light entertainment and share your thoughts with us about your favorite ways to eat clams, your memories of clams, and other things “clammy.”
