Harbor Resilience Meeting: Outcomes

On May 17, 26 participants, mainly fishermen, convened to discuss harbor infrastructure improvements for Gouldsboro over the next decade. Key issues included dredging needs, public launch ramps, and a needed pier in South Gouldsboro. After assessing costs and feasibility, we will reconvene this fall to recommend investment priorities for the town’s harbor facilities.

Corea Project Update

Coastal resilience work around Corea Harbor is moving from planning to action. Building on the two meetings with Corea residents last summer and fall, the Town of Gouldsboro has charted a course that leads to construction to address flooding at the Crowley Island Causeway and Corea-Cranberry Road Junction.
